Day 5

Alright, so I have been really busy. We have had a lot of events and meetings. I have been briefed by the first secretary (also the minister of education) to China, the second secretary, the Hong Kong Trade Office, the Hong Kong Canada trade association. Basically a whole bunch of important people. I guess. I got the most out of Stephen chase (my cousin) cause he is already a trade commissioner on DFAIT. Last night Stephen and I went to the networknig/launch or JTC and then went to visit Aunt Linda. She fed me good food. Tonight we are leaving at 5 to fly out to Hong Kong. Talk to you soon, I promise.

Day 2

today I woke up and had a shitty breakfast. We talked about hoe high heels make dress pants look better. Rob Sweet was eating with us and he said high heels also made girls butts stick out at a better angle. Then we went and did some big group discussion and walked all aroudn the city in the hot hot sun wearing business suits. I was sweating like a pig. We discussed having a team brand. I was divided up into a team of 6 with Rob Sweet, Jinny (my roommate, Andrew (NLD), Other Rob, and Azim. Other Rob has now been switched with Brent because there was some kind of a mix up. So we walked to parliament hill and had group pictures taken with two mounties in full regalia on horses. Then we had lunch in the food court of the Rideau Centre. We each were given $8 for lunch. Then we had a presentation and questions period with Zhang Peng the second secretary economic and commercial from the Canadian Chinese Embassy as well as the minister of education who is also the 1st secretary at that embassy. I got to ask some good questions that I might type up later. The Chinese are planning to eventually take the policies of their traditional china and merge them with those they have been trying in the special economic zones. We have a missin within a mission going on. It is called Le Tour de JTC. Basically is is a mixture of the apprentice vs the amazing race. Tonight we have to see who can buy the best meal to feed their team with $23. We have to feed 6 people. Some teams only have $5. Right now I am supposed to be doing market research and working on our team projects for this leg of the race. But I am glad we are assigned to this leg cause that means most of the pressure will be off of me when we get to Hong Kong. I got my free gold shirt, tshirt and hoddie tonight. We are going on a scavenger hunt at 5 oclock, so in 30 minutes. Love ya's talk to you later
